Tis the season,,

On my way drive into work, I pass the town courthouse. Today, I was reminded that I live in a small town.

The courthouse has a nativity scene in front of it. Complete with straw, shepherds, star, and open-armed Baby Jesus.

Now, I'm not offended, and I don't particularly care one way or another, except in a sad "wow it's a small town" kind of way. I mean, this would never happen in a big city, or back on Long Island with a large Jewish population. It's just a reminder that I'm out in the boonies where they put it up because it never occurred to them that they shouldn't put it up.
